My Story
Early on I learned the devastating effects of disease as I watched my father battle type 1 diabetes and depression. He lost the battle at a young age. It was during this time that I realized the impact of mental health on physical health. I spent several years as a teen angry. I began running outside and working out to feel better. Over the years my passion for health and wellness grew.
Years later I met my husband who decided to compete in a few body building shows. I realized by fine tuning my nutrition, I could get much better results than working out alone. I tried various meal plans, new recipes. I eliminated sugar -temporarily, tried different workouts, ran a few mini marathons, explored rowing. Later I hired a coach, worked with IFBB Pros, practiced Ashtanga yoga, practiced with yogis traditional and advanced and then became a certified yoga teacher. After all this I found what worked, what produced results and was amazed that it wasn't nearly as hard as I was led to believe.
